Coach Roy and Ms Mary are planning to return to England to be closer to their children when their house sells. This was their last session for the younger children. Many of the children brought gifts to them.

Sunday Lemonade Stand

Today was another great day for the lemonade stand. Although it was 95 degrees outside( remind me next year not to do this in the middle of the afternoon) we had a little breeze and thank goodness for the shade of the tent. We had fewer people helping, but they were just as energetic.

Grace and Kathryn were busy handing out flags to people going by.
Our most repeat customers were the Albertson's employees. When I was mentioning corporate sponsors I forgot to mention our biggest one, Albertson's. Thank you to them for allowing us to set up in front of their store.
By the end of the day this is how we all felt. It was way too hot. I am proud to say we added $122.86 to our total today. With yesterday and today we made $381.31 for pediatric cancer research. Yeah God!!

Alex's Lemonade Stand

Today at Albertson's we held a Lemonade stand to benefit Pediatric Cancer research. This stand was started because of Alex Scott, a little girl who lost her 4 year battle against cancer. When she got sick she told her parents she wanted to have a lemonade stand to raise money for her doctors to find a cure. In her 4 year battle, she raised 1 million dollars. Since then, almost 16 million dollars has been raised due to these lemonade stands. We dedicate this stand to Alexandra Scott and to Daniel Phillips who lost his battle 4 years ago to leukemia. To them and to all the children who have won, lost, or are still battling, our prayers go out to you. This nice lady was our first customer. Many people who stopped at the stand did not want any lemonade but gave generously. Some of our corporate sponsors included McDonald's ( Pictured here is Lo, a McDonald's representative, who brought us the cooler and the cups), Chick-Fil-A ( who donated 5 gallons of fresh squeezed lemonade.), and Walmart( who gave us a $25 gift card for supplies).

Kathryn is helping to make some more lemonade. All total we gave out about 100 glasses of lemonade. Thank you to all the children and parents of K12 , TCHF, and TEACH who came out to hand out lemonade. With all of your help we had lemonade, cookies, muffins, fresh fruit, brownies, coolers, a much needed tent for shade, lots of hands helping, and wonderful fellowship. The children passed out stickers, tatoos, and glasses of lemonade. They were just too cute.

As the Albertsons patrons would come up to the store the children greeted them with an American Flag sticker and invited them over for lemonade and to make a donation. All total today we raised $258.45. Tomorrow we will have a 2nd stand and raise even more for research.

Virtual School Awareness Day

These were taken at the Capitol; letting our elected officials know how important virtual education is to families in Florida. These are some of the local children, but there were some who traveled from Miami to be at this event.

At the beginning of our tour of the bank, we were greeted by this gentleman who gave us an overview of the bank.

The children were divided into groups and shown around the bank. This was the vault room where the saftey deposit boxes are located.
These were the security cameras.

The biggest rule they gave the children before letting them behind the counter was "DON"T TOUCH THE RED BUTTON" Silent alarm.

They showed the children how the change counter worked and let each of them drop in some coins.


Each child was given a piggy bank to take home and fill up. They were told when it is full to bring it back and they will put it in the change counter and count it for them.

Mission San Louis

This gentleman was our guide for the day.











This man was at the fort telling us about daily life at the fort.











Several children were very interested in the animal tracks in the cement.





This was the nun in the Spanish Mission. She told the children that in the days of the fort, women who entered the church kept their heads covered. So Kathryn took her coat and covered her head.

After the tour we sat down and made a craft together.

Several families came together at Christmas to make foam craft projects for people in the nursing home.

The event was held at Golden Corral before they opened.
